CCTV Monitoring at YOU Clinic
To maintain a safe, secure and professionally monitored environment for all patients, visitors and staff, YOU Clinic operates CCTV recording both outside the premises and inside the clinic, including reception and treatment‑adjacent areas.
Purpose of CCTV
CCTV is used for safety, security, crime prevention, and to support the protection of patients, staff and clinic property. It is not used for clinical decision‑making or treatment recording.
What is recorded Video footage only. No audio recording is used.
Legal Basis CCTV processing is carried out under our legitimate interest in maintaining a safe healthcare environment, in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Retention Period CCTV footage is typically retained for up to 30 days, unless a longer period is required for an active investigation or legal requirement.
How footage is stored All CCTV images are securely stored using systems provided by Bay Security, our professional security provider. Storage may be cloud‑based or local device‑based, depending on the configuration of their system. In both cases, footage is protected with strict access controls, encryption, and security protocols. Only authorised personnel can access recordings.
Your agreement
By entering the clinic premises, attending an appointment, or using our services, you acknowledge and agree that CCTV recording is in operation inside and outside the clinic.
